I have had for many years an interest in the colours of Africa but never really saw a way of introducing them into my work until recently.
I was not at all satisfied with the last bowl I made so I took it apart and gave some thought about what I could use the bits for and this is the result.
The colours and pattern are meant to be quite subtle so I used red as a base colour than added the pattern in purple and sprays a very thin black over the whole thing
It is 16" high the base is stained Oak
